The Artistic Showcase
The Southeast Open Judged Exhibit (SOJE) is an annual community event that brings together artists from all over the Southeastern Manitoba region.
2D and 3D art is equally welcome. We seek pieces that contribute to the vision of a world without borders, unity, and inclusivity. Artists interested in creating work that promotes unity, inclusivity, and diversity are encouraged to submit their pieces. The submission process is as follows: 1) Submit an artist statement, 2) 15 high-quality images of artwork, 3) 1 resume or CV, and 4) Any additional documentation or artist statements as required. The exhibition will be held at The Art Museum in Chicago, Illinois, USA. The exhibition dates are set for the first quarter of 2025 and will run for approximately 3 months. The exhibition will be open to the public, and admission is free. A reception is planned for the exhibition, and an invitation will be sent to selected artists. The exhibition will be promoted through various marketing channels, including social media, email marketing, and local media outlets. Artists who submit their pieces are required to sign a contract outlining the terms of the exhibition, which will include the exhibition dates, display conditions, and compensation. The exhibition will be a juried exhibition, and a selection committee will review the submissions to choose the selected pieces to be displayed. The selected pieces will be displayed from February 1, 2025, to May 31, 2025.
