The Institute for the Creative Arts Student Art Show and Reception will take place on Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Bookish in the Bakery District of downtown Fort Smith. A diverse array of artwork created by students in various styles, genres, and mediums will be on display in an informal setting that invites visitors to stop by, enjoy the art, and meet the students who created it. This event is an excellent opportunity for the community to witness the talent and creativity of the students at the Institute for the Creative Arts. The school, which is tuition-free and open to all Arkansas students, offers a rigorous college preparatory academic program combined with pre-professional training in the arts. Students will be able to showcase their artistic skills, and visitors can enjoy the various works of art on display. KJ Atkinson, honorable mention for 7th-9th grade Arts on Main Student Showcase;
Nevaeh Huetteman, fourth place at the Congressional Art Competition in Northwest Arkansas.

For example, they have been participating in festivals, receptions, and serving the community through art projects, including the largest project being the mural recently painted at the FAB LAB, located at the Arkansas Colleges of Health Education Research Institute Health and Wellness Center in Fort Smith.
