Big Bend Bash Set to Break Down Barriers with Vibrant Art Gallery

The Barton Arts Movement (BAM) has announced its participation in the first-ever Big Bend Bash, a street festival that promises to bring the community together in a celebration of art and culture.

At the heart of the Big Bend Bash is a pop-up art gallery, the “Big Bend Art Walk” — formerly known as Art Alley — which will transform downtown Great Bend into a lively street festival packed with activities for all ages.

“We’re thrilled to add to the vibe and energy of the Big Bend Bash by bringing art into the mix,” said Andrea Bauer, a BAM volunteer. “Our goal is to encourage more artists to participate, and we’re confident that the addition of age categories will make it more accessible to everyone.”

As a testament to the growing popularity of the Big Bend Art Walk, it has become a community favorite in its fourth year. The event has seen a significant increase in participation and has become a staple of the community’s cultural calendar.

For Kansas artists interested in participating, the BAM offers a range of resources and support to help make the experience a success. The Artist Entry Form can be found at www.BartonArtsMovement.com/contests, and the deadline for submissions is May 21.

The Big Bend Bash is set to take place on Saturday, June 7, and will feature a range of activities, including live music, food vendors, and more. The event is expected to draw in crowds of all ages, making it a great opportunity for local artists to showcase their work and connect with potential customers.

“We’re looking forward to seeing the amazing talent that the Big Bend Art Walk will bring to the Big Bend Bash,” said Andrea Bauer. “We’re confident that it will be a fantastic addition to the event, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds.”
