Summer Creativity Camps: Unlocking Potential

Sisters Art Works is excited to announce its summer creativity camps, designed to foster artistic expression and self-discovery in middle and high school-aged students. The nonprofit organization has partnered with regional teaching artists to create engaging and interactive sessions in various art forms, including music, theater, and self-expression.

Camp Themes and Activities

The 11 summer camps will cover a range of themes and activities, including:

  • Art Camp: Explore different mediums, such as painting, drawing, and sculpture, and create unique pieces of art. Music Camp: Learn to play instruments, compose music, and perform in a group setting. Theater Camp: Develop acting skills, write and perform original plays, and explore improvisation techniques. * Self-Expression Camp: Focus on personal growth, self-awareness, and creative expression through writing, dance, and visual arts.

    The same week, the same week, the community will also host a Summer Concert Series, featuring local musicians performing on the stage at the community center.

    String Lab

    The String Lab half-day camp is a unique opportunity for students to explore the world of stringed instruments. Led by mandolin player and bandleader Joe Schulte, this camp will delve into the basics of playing the mandolin, as well as other stringed instruments.
