Comedy

  • Lisa Ann Walter headlines Zanies Comedy Club
  • On Friday, April 25, and Saturday, April 26, the former stand-up comedian, unscripted series co-creator, and actor will perform at the Zanies Comedy Club, 5437 Park Place, Rosemont. Craft Beer

  • The Long Grove Craft Beer Festival takes place this weekend at Brothers’ Field, 340 Old McHenry Road, Long Grove. Participating breweries and cideries include: 9th Hour Brewing Co, Art History Brewing, Black Horizon Brewing Company, Crystal Lake Brewery, Liquid Love Brewing, Nik & Ivy Brewing Company, Phase Three Brewing Company, Sew Hop’d Brewery, and others. Folk-rock band Sunflower Headlights will perform. Tickets are $60, and $10 for nondrinkers/designated drivers (includes unlimited water).   • The Intuit: The Center for Intuitive and Outsider Art is reopening as the Intuit Art Museum at 756 N. Milwaukee Ave., Chicago, with a $10 million renovation and expansion. The renovated space includes a gallery devoted to works from the permanent collection, a gallery for special exhibitions, a studio, and a flexible community space to host performances, lectures, and other activities.   • W. Kamau Bell, comedian, filmmaker, author, activist, and Peabody Award-winner, headlines The Den Theatre, 1331 N. Milwaukee Ave., Chicago, as part of his “Who’s With Me?” tour. Bell, former host of CNN’s Emmy Award-winning series “United Shades of America,” also serves as the American Civil Liberties Union’s Artist Ambassador for Racial Justice and hosts the ACLU podcast “At Liberty.” Tickets are $28-$60.
