Lincoln artist unveils new work on display at Eiseley Branch Library

The Artist’s Journey

Eddie Dominguez has been a lifelong artist, with a passion for ceramics that spans over 40 years. His journey as an artist began at a young age, when he was introduced to the medium by his father.

“It’s a very intimate piece,” he said. “It’s a very personal piece.”

The Art of Intimacy: Exploring the Sculpture “Heritage” by Dominguez

The city of Lincoln, Nebraska, has acquired a unique sculpture by artist Dominguez, titled “Heritage.” This piece, which will be held by the city for the next five years, is a testament to the artist’s ability to create intimate and personal works of art.

A Challenging Commission

Dominguez has done large installations before, but “Heritage” was a departure from his usual style. The sculpture is a single object, which made it particularly challenging for the artist to work with. “It’s a very intimate piece,” Dominguez said. “It’s a very personal piece.” This statement highlights the unique nature of the sculpture, which is both a work of art and a personal expression.

Dominguez has other art projects displayed around the city, including at the Sheldon Museum of Art on UNL’s campus and at both Bryan East and West.
