The Story Behind Weaverbird Workshop

Weaverbird Workshop is a small, family-owned business that has been a staple in the community for many years. Philippa Enever, the owner, has a passion for creating beautiful and functional pieces that bring people together.

We also have a regular exhibition space where artists can showcase their work.

The Weaverbird Workshop: A Hub for Local Emerging Artists

The Weaverbird Workshop is a unique and vibrant space that serves as a hub for local emerging artists. Located in the heart of the city, this workshop is run by Nik and Philippa Walford, both accomplished artists in their own right.

We can also mount and frame mirrors, clocks, and other decorative items.

We have two children and live in a beautiful house with a lovely garden. I am now a full-time mum and enjoy spending time with my family and pursuing my hobbies.

A New Chapter in Life

After years of living in London, I decided it was time to make a change and move back to Yorkshire. The thought of leaving behind the hustle and bustle of city life was appealing, and I was drawn to the idea of a more relaxed pace of life. I had always been fascinated by the natural beauty of the Yorkshire Dales and the rolling hills of the countryside.

Reasons for the Move

  • I wanted to be closer to my family and friends who still lived in Yorkshire. I was looking for a more peaceful and serene environment to raise my children. I wanted to experience the beauty of the Yorkshire Dales and the countryside. I was attracted to the slower pace of life and the opportunity to pursue hobbies and interests. ## The Move to Addingham

The Importance of Sustainable Practices in the Shop

Sustainable practices are not just a buzzword; they are a necessity in today’s world. As consumers, we have a responsibility to reduce our impact on the environment, and businesses like ours play a crucial role in promoting eco-friendly habits. In this article, we will explore the importance of sustainable practices in our shop and how we strive to minimize our ecological footprint.

    Reducing Waste and Minimizing Landfill

One of the most significant ways we reduce waste is by recycling everything in the shop. From paper and cardboard to glass and metal, we make sure that nothing goes into landfill. This not only helps to conserve natural resources but also reduces greenhouse gas emissions associated with waste disposal. We recycle over 90% of our paper and cardboard waste, which is equivalent to taking 20 cars off the road.
