The Thirlby Art Group Exhibition at Rural Arts, Thirsk

The Thirlby Art Group (TAG) is proud to present its latest exhibition at Rural Arts, Thirsk, showcasing the diverse talents of its members. The event runs from October 27 to November 2, excluding Mondays.

A Showcase of Local Art Talent

The exhibition features a wide range of artworks, including paintings, prints, and photographs, created by TAG members. The pieces on display are a testament to the group’s dedication to promoting and supporting local artists. The exhibition includes works by artists who have been inspired by the beautiful landscapes of North Yorkshire, as well as those who have explored more abstract themes. Visitors can expect to see a diverse range of styles and techniques, from realistic to expressive and experimental.*

Meet the Artists

TAG members will be on hand each day during the exhibition to chat with visitors and provide background on the artists and their works. This is an excellent opportunity for art enthusiasts to learn more about the creative process and gain insights into the inspiration behind each piece. The artists will be happy to discuss their techniques, share their experiences, and answer any questions visitors may have.

Many of TAG’s artists will be presenting a selection of their works for sale at the exhibition, plus prints, notelets, cards and cushions, all featuring examples of their art. “There will be original pictures available for visitors to buy,” added David. “Here’s a chance to own genuine, quality art at a reasonable cost and – who knows – maybe turn into an heirloom for future generations?” TAG meets each Friday morning, and all artistic techniques are encouraged, although no formal teaching is provided. Instead, individuals work on a subject or topic of interest at their own pace and in their preferred medium.
